Enlisted Maidstone, Kent, age 15 years & 14 months, height 4ft 6¼ inches, weight 62lbs, fair, grey eyes, brown hair. Resided Duke of Yorks Royal Military School.

18th May 1901, enlisted, served for 12years & 182 days, 2nd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment, Service No.6178. Discharged 15th November 1913.

Enlisted Maidstone, Kent, age 27 years & 332 days, weight 117lbs, pale complexion, hazel eyes, brown hair, slight varicoecle, left, slight bow leg, tattoo marks, dragon left upper arm, left forearm snake & bird, on a twig, clasped hands wreath, snake & bird fighting, Prince of Wales feathers. Formerly musician.

2nd December 1913, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 2nd December 1913, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 1st April 1915, appointed unpaid Lance Corporal; 20th August 1915, appointed Acting Corporal; 22nd November 1915, promoted Corporal; 26th February 1917, posted BEF; 26th February 1917, embarked; 26th February 1917, disembarked; 18th March 1917, joined Battalion, "B" Company; 16th May 1917, appointed paid Lance Sergeant; 11th October 1917, appointed Acting Sergeant; 26th October 1917, posted missing.

31st May 1916, St Paul's, Maidstone, Kent, married Beatrice Lily Prior, spinster, 18, Albert St., Maidstone, Kent.

Child - Barbara Ethel Falkner, born 29th May 1917, Maidstone, Kent.

8th June 1918, pension of 22/11 a week awarded to widow & 1 child.

Commemorated at Tyne Cot Memorial, Panel 106 to 108, Zonnebeke, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.
