Private George William CROUT, L/9309,  2nd  Battalion, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, died, Mesopotamia Expeditionary Force, Monday 25th September 1916, age 27.

Born Woolwich, Kent, son of Henry John and Harriet Emily Crout, of 32, Brookdene Road, Plumstead, London.

Enlisted New Cross, Kent.


1911 Census - Military, India - George William Crout,  age 22, single, Private, 2nd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment, born Woolwich, Kent.


Brother of John James CROUT of 2nd Battalion, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, who fell on 30th September 1918.

Buried at  Baghdad (North Gate) War Cemetery,  XXI. O. 45.,  Iraq.
