1902 October, Chatham,  Lieutenant, 4th Volunteer Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment.

2nd/5th Battalion formed 31st October 1914, appointed to command (as temporary Lieutenant - Colonel) on formation until 6th September 1916.


London Gazette 6th September 1916.

TERRITORIAL FORCE RESERVE. Infantry.

Major (temporary Lieutenant - Colonel) E. B. Willis, from the Royal West Kent Regiment, to be Major -  7th September 1916.

London Gazette 9th January 1922.

The under mentioned officers relinquish their commissions, 30th September 1921, and retain their rank unless otherwise stated. -

Territorial Army Reserve - Major E B Willis and is granted the rank of Lieutenant - Colonel, with permission to wear the prescribed uniform.
