Kent Volunteer Regiment - Mid Kent Group

Colonel C E Warde (late 4th Hussars) to be temporary Lieutenant - Colonel and Group Commandant.

VOLUNTEER FORCE - Kent Volunteer Regiment - Western Group

Group Commandant & temporary Lieutenant - Colonel Charles Edward WARDE, from Mid Kent Group, to be Commandant and temporary Lieutenant - Colonel. 31st May 1918.

The King has been graciously pleased, on the occasion of His Majesty's Birthday to give orders for the following promotions in and appointments to the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire for valuable services rendered in connection with military operations in Mesopotamia:

To be Officers of the Military Division of the Said Most Excellent Order:

Warde Lieutenant Colonel Charles Edward, r.p. Kent Volunteer Corps.

The KING has been graciously pleased, on the occasion of the celebration of His Majesty's Birthday, to signify His Majesty's intention of conferring Baronetcies of the United Kingdom on the following. To date 3rd June 1919.:

Colonel Charles Edward WARDE, O.B.E., M.P., D.L. and J.P. for Kent. Long continued Public Services.

Letters Patent have passed the Great Seal of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland conferring the dignity of a Baronet of the said United Kingdom upon the under mentioned gentlemen and their heirs male of their respective bodies lawfully begotten:

Colonel Charles Edward Warde, O.B.E., of Barham Court, in the parish town of Teston, in the County of Kent, in the Commission of the Peace and  a Deputy Lieutenant for the said County.

VOLUNTEER FORCE - Kent Infantry Volunteer Corps, West Kent Group - Temporary Lieutenant - Colonel and Group Commandant  C E Warde, Bart., O.B.E. (Hon. Colonel, late West Kent Yeomanry) (Major retired pay) relinquishes his commission, 30th March 1920, and is granted the hon. rank of Lieutenant - Colonel. 

London Gazette 4th May 1920.

VOLUNTEER FORCE - Kent Infantry Volunteer Corps, West Kent Group - Temporary Lieutenant - Colonel and Group Commandant Sir C E Warde, Bt., O.B.E. (Hon. Colonel, late West Kent Yeomanry) (Major retired pay) relinquishes his commission, 30th March 1920, and is granted the hon. rank of Lieutenant - Colonel. (substituted for that which appeared in the Gazette of 29th March 1920.
