Captain J D Crosthwaite, MC., (1st Battalion, London Regiment, Territorial Force),  to be acting Lieutenant - Colonel while commanding a Battalion. 20th March 1918 to 22nd March 1918, when he reverts to the acting rank of major, with pay and allowances of Captain.

London Gazette 6th May 1919.

Captain J D Crosthwaite, DSO., MC., (1st Battalion, London Regiment, Territorial Force),  to be acting Lieutenant - Colonel while commanding 7th Battalion. 20th March 1918. (Substituted for Gazette notification 26th June 1918.

Captain J D Crosthwaite, DSO., MC., (1st Battalion, London Regiment, Territorial Force),  relinquishes the acting rank of  Lieutenant - Colonel on ceasing to command 7th Battalion. 31st December 1918.
