Postings - Home, 16th November 1915 to 2nd May 1916; BEF, 3rd May 1916 to 31st August 1918; Leave to UK, 1st September 1918 to 14th September 1918; BEF, 15th September 1918.
6th August 1916, appointed paid Lance Corporal; 8th October 1916, promoted Corporal; 1st November 1917, promoted Sergeant; 30th September 1918, appointed Acting Company Sergeant Major; 19th October 1918, relinquishes appointment as Acting Company Sergeant Major.
19th March 1919, transferred to Reserves and Demobilized to The Briars, Farnborough, Kent.
