Advanced Dressing Station, sheltered in dugouts in the embankment and in the buildings of a nearby farm, made the majority of the burials in this cemetery. After the Armistice, reburials from the battlefield were added. The cemetery contains the graves of 1661 British, 636 Canadian, 154 Australian, 3 New Zealand, 3 Indian, 1 British West Indian, 4 German and 2 unidentified soldiers.
