Private William MITCHELL, G/16991, 1st  Battalion,  Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, (formerly 183631, Royal Engineers), killed in action, Flanders France, 17th April 1918, age 39.

Born Tunbridge Wells, Kent, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Mitchell, of 18, Park Street, Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

1901 December, Tunbridge Registration District, William Mitchell, married Susannah Jenner.

Children - Ivy May Mitchell, born 25th November 1905, Tunbridge Wells, Kent; Olive Gertrude Mitchell, born March Quarter 1903, Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

*1915 March, Ticehurst Registration District, died age 12.

 Buried at Tannay British Cemetery, Plot 1. Row B. Grave 8., Thiennes, France. Commemorated Tunbridge Wells Roll of Honour.
