Born Hove, Sussex, Son of William and Hannah Hills, of Hove, Sussex.

25th September 1901, Parish Church, Portsea, Portsmouth, Hampshire married Ellen Priscilla Dagnes, spinster.

Enlisted  Hove, Sussex, age 38 years & 5 months, height 5ft 7 inches, one left arm several moles right shoulder. Resided 43, Stoneham Road, Aldrinton, Hove, Brighton, Sussex. Formerly surveyors chainman.

Home 6th November 1915 to 3rd October 1916; BEF 4th October 1916 to 18th November 1916.

Separation Allowance of 19/6 a week and Allotment of Pay of 3/6 a week payable to wife.

27th August 1917, Pension of 27/6 a week awarded to widow & three children.
