11th December 1915, enlisted; 11th December 1915, posted Army Reserve; 7th March 1916, mobilized at own request; 9th March 1916, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 10th March 1916, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 27th June 1916, Fort Darland, not being shaved on 6.45am Parade, 5 days confined to Barracks; 2nd July 1916, embarked; 2nd July 1916, Infantry Base Depot; 13th July 1916, posted 7 Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 30th September 1916, posted missing.

27th May 1917, date when Separation Allowance of 21/- a week and Allotment of Pay of 3/6 a week, will cease.

4th June 1917, pension of 22/11 a week awarded to widow and two children.

5th October 1917, Probate - William Henry Marsh of the Sussex Arms, Townwall Street, Dover, died 30th September 1916 in France. Probate London 5th October to Mildred Emma Marsh, widow. Effects £681 15s 11d.

Buried at Mill Road Cemetery, I. C. 14., Thiepval, France.
