Born Ealing, Middlesex, son of William John and Emily Louise Campbell, of 2, Wells Place, Ealing, London.

Enlisted Ealing, Middlesex, age 23, height 5ft 5½ inches, weight 132lbs. Resided  2, Wells Place, Ealing, London. Formerly baths attendant.

Home 12th January 1915 to 29th August 1915; BEF 30th August 1915 to 9th May 1918.

12th January 1915, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 19th January 1915, posted 8th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 26th December 1915, appointed unpaid Lance Corporal; 29th April 1916, appointed paid Lance Corporal; 6th July 1916, deprived of stripe;
