Enlisted Deptford, SE. age 19 years & 307 days, height 5ft 3 inches, weight 114lbs, mole left shoulder blade. Resided 34 Carlton Grove, New Cross, SE. Formerly carman.

Home 18th November 1915 to 2nd May 1916; BEF 3rd May 1916 to 5th October 1916.

18th November 1915, enlisted & posted 11th (Lewisham) Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 5th March 1916, Aldershot, overstaying his pass from 11.59pm until 11.50pm 6th March 1916, admonished, forfeits 1 days pay; 2nd May 1916, Southampton, embarked; 3rd May 1916, Havre, disembarked.
