Brother, Leslie Greenslade, 4th Battalion, (Territorial Force), Devonshire Regiment.

Home 12th January 1915 to 17th JUly 1915; MEF 18th July 1915 to 20th August 1915.

12th January 1915, enlisted; 25th April 1915, posted 2nd/4th  Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 19th July 1915, Devonport, embarked; 20th August 1915, wounded.

Commemorated at  Helles Memorial, Panel 155., Turkey.


* 28th June 1929, London Gazette - The Grand Priory in the British Realm of the Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem - The King has been graciously pleased to sanction the following promotions in and appointment to the Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem - As Serving Brothers - Major Edgar William Greenslade.

 Monday 6th February 1939, Newton Abbott, Devon funeral of Major Edgar William Greenslade, of Queen Street, Newton Abbott, officers, men & cadets of Mid Devon Divisions of the St John Ambulance Brigade walked in procession.
