Born Boughton Mallerbe, Kent, son of Edward and Rachel Mackelden, of The Carpenter's Arms, Ulcombe, Maidstone,  Kent.

1909, April, Hollingbourn, Kent, married Phoebe Fuller.

1911 Census - Rock Cottage, Ulcombe, Maidstone, Kent. - Albert Mackelden, head, age 33, married, labourer on farm, farming, worker, born Boughton Mallerbe, Kent; Phoebe Mackleden, wife, age 26., married 1 year, 2 children, both still alive, born Ulcombe, Kent; Kitty Mackleden, daughter, age 1, born Ulcombe, Kent; Jack Mackleden, son, age 6 months, born Ulcombe, Kent.

Enlisted Maidstone, Kent.  Resided Rock Cottage, Ulcombe, Kent.

14th December 1915, posted BEF.

Commemorated at Loos Memorial, Panel 95 to 97, France.
