20th January 1913, enlisted; 8th February 1913 to 19th February 1913, Maidstone Hospital, sprain of right knee, whilst walking onto Parade Ground to fall in; 6th March 1913, awarded 3rd Class Certificate of Education; 22nd June 1913 to 24th June 1913, Dublin Royal Infirmary, complained of having put his knee out, no sign of sprain or swelling, discharged to duty; 22nd August 1913 to 26th August 1913, King George V Hospital, Dublin, contusion face, injury not on duty, cold compress; 18th July 1914, Dublin, having dirty service dress clothing on Generals Inspection, 5 days confined to Barracks
28th October 1914, wounded, gun shot wounds to the spine.
27th March 1915, War Office memo - If the ring of the deceased is forthcoming, it should be forwarded to Miss E Wells, 2 Rendell Road, Brockley, London.
