7th February 1887, born Calcutta, India.

Previously served with S.I.R.? Volunteers, discharged on Termination of Engagement, 2nd June 1910.

Enlisted Calcutta, India, age 27 years & 10 months, height 5ft 3½ inches, weight 120lbs, dark complexion, dark brown eyes, black hair, scar on forehead, widower. Formerly railwayman. Next of Kin, brother, address not known.

7th December 1914, enlisted; 7th February 1915, drunk about 4.00?pm, 8 days confined to Barracks; 24th May 1915, drinking beer outside the canteen premises, 8 days confined to Barracks; 15th December 1915, embarked Calcutta; 22nd December 1915, disembarked Basra; 14th May 1916, Basra, reported dangerously ill; 15th May 1916, admitted to Hospital Basra; 18th May 1916, transferred to India; 26th May 1916, Victoria War Hospital Bombay, death certificate signed by Registrar - 23rd May 1916, admitted from His Majesty's Hospital Ship "Assaye"; 26th May 1916, 1.00pm, died of dysentery.

7th September 1917, Ministry of Pension memo to Office in Charge Records - I am directed by the Minister of Pension to inform you that the widow of No.10644 Pte Terence Collins is eligible for the grant of a pension. Widows address - Mrs Isabella Collins, 2/1 Acre Road, off Clive Road, Calcutta. NOTE - on enlistment the soldier declared he was a widower, so no Separation Allowance or Allotment of Pay.

24th October 1920, War Office Memo to Infantry Records Office - retain medals pending application, when reference should be made to the War Office.

SOLDIERS' BALANCES UNDISPOSED OF.

In pursuance of "The Regimental Debts Act, 1893," notice is hereby given that there is available for distribution amongst the Next of Kin or others entitled the sum of money set opposite to the name of the deceased Officer and each of the deceased Soldiers named in the lists which are published with this notice in the London Gazette and the "Army List," and are also to be seen at the Regimental Depots throughout the United Kingdom.

Applications from persons supposing themselves entitled as Next of Kin should be addressed by letter to "The Secretary, War Office, Park Buildings, St. James's Park, London, S.W.," and marked outside "Effects."
