Private  Thomas Henry CARR,  L/9207, 2nd  Battalion, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, died, Mesopotamia Expeditionary Force, 2nd January 1917, age 28.

Born Greenwich, Kent, son of Thomas William and Elizabeth Rosina Carr, of 9, Corston St., Deptford, London.

Enlisted  New Cross, age 21 years & 5 months.  Resided Deptford, Kent. Formerly waterman.

Home 14th December 1908 to 10th December 1909; India 11th December 1909 to 31st January 1915; Indian Expeditionary Force, 1st February 1915 to 2nd January 1917.

14th December 1908, enlisted; 11th April 1910, Lebong, negligently discharging his rifle in the ranks, 7 days confined to Barracks; 17th June 1910, Lebong, improper conduct in the ranks, parade three times at retreat; 30th September 1910, Barrackpore, taking away a knife & fork from the supper bar, stating a falsehood to an NCO, 8 days confined to Barracks; 18th November 1910, making an improper remark to an NCO, 5 days confined to Barracks; 8th February 1911, quitting the rifle racks without permission, whilst rifle orderly, at about 9.40am, 10 days confined to Barracks; 14th February 1912, Dag? Camp, buying mineral water from a native whilst on ????? Parade, 5 days confined to barracks; 16th August 1912, Peshawar, slackness on Parade, not doubling when ordered to do so, 5 days confined to Barracks; 4th April 1913, Peshawar, improperly dressed on Guard Mounting Parade, 2 extra Guards; 14th June 1913, awarded 3rd Class Certificate of Education; 18th March 1914, Multan, absent from the room whilst Bungalow Orderly, 7 days confined to Barracks; 15th July 1914, Multan, infringement of a hospital standing order, in that while detained in hospital he left the hospital premises without permission, 7 days confined to Barracks; 

Buried at  Haidar Pasha Cemetery, I.D.22., Turkey.
