9th September 1914, enlisted & posted 8th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 22nd May 1915, Shoreham, absent from Tattoo until 12.00 midnight, 25th, 10 days confined to Barracks, deprived of 4 days pay, forfeits 4 days pay; 12th June 1915, Shoreham, absent from Tattoo until Reveille 14th June, 14 days confined to Barracks, deprived of 3 days pay, forfeits 3 days pay; 30th August 1915, posted BEF; 16th October? 1915, awarded 14 days Field Punishment No.2.; 10th June 1916, wounded, slight.

In pursuance of "The Regimental Debts Act, 1893," notice is hereby given that there is available for distribution amongst the Next of Kin or others entitled the sum of money set opposite to the name of each of the deceased Soldiers named in the lists which are published with this notice in 1/he London Gazette and the "Army List," and are also to be seen at the Regimental Depots throughout the United Kingdom,
Applications from persons supposing themselves entitled as Next of Kin should be addressed by letter to "The Secretary, War Office, Imperial Institute, South Kensington, London, S. W. 7," and marked outside " Effects."
