Born Ipswich, Suffolk, son of Isaiah & Clara Innes.

Enlisted Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, age 20 years & 2 months, height 5ft 7½ inches. Resided 11 Hartley Street, Ipswich, Suffolk. Formerly driller.

Home 10th December 1915 to 23rd July 1916; BEF 24th July 1916 to 9th January 1917.

10th December 1915, enlisted; 11th December 1915, to Army Reserve; 4th April 1916, mobilized & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 7th April 1916, posted 9th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 23rd July 1916, embarked; 24th July 1916, posted BEF; 24th July 1916, Infantry Base Depot; 3rd August 1916, joined Battalion, "B" Company.

Buried at Longuenesse, St Omer, Souvenir Cemetery,  IV. A. 84., France.
