Enlisted Keighley, Yorkshire, age 18, height 5ft 10 inches, weight 118lbs. Resided 51, Main St., Bingley, Yorkshire. Formerly photographers apprentice.

Home 20th May1916 to 2nd July 1917; BEF 3rd July 1917 to 23rd March 1918.

20th May 1916, enlisted; 2st May 1916, to Army Reserve; 9th December 1916, mobilized; 12th December 1916, posted 233 Provisional Battalion; 3rd July 1917, posted BEF; 4th July 1917, 40 Infantry Base Depot, Etaples; 20th July 1917, transferred to Royal West Kent Regiment & posted 10th Battalion; 23rd March 1918, posted missing.
