Private Robert TAFT, S/82, 3rd Battalion,  Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, died at Military Hospital, Hampstead, 14th May 1917, age 38.

Born Deptford, Kent.

Enlisted Greenwich, Kent.  Resided South Norwood.

Brothers - Charles Taft; Frederick Taft; Sisters - Mary E Monk; Niece - Mary E O'Brien.

Served in the South African Campaign.

7th December 1914, posted BEF.

Buried at Hampstead Cemetery, Screen Wall. Q6. B. 25. London.

NOTE - Those whose graves cannot be marked by headstone are recorded by name on a Screen Wall memorial in the War Graves Plot where the majority of the burials are to be found, near the Northern boundary, to the right of the main entrance.
