7th December 1915, enlisted; 8th December 1915, to Army Reserve; 28th March 1917, mobilized; 28th March 1917, posted 4th Battalion, Yorks & Lancs Regiment, Service No.204740; 6th July 1917, Folkestone, embarked; 6th July 1917, disembarked, Boulogne; 6th July 1917, Etaples, Infantry Base Depot; 21st July 1917, transferred to 3/4th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 21st July 1917, posted 7th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment.

Commemorated at Tyne Cot Memorial, Panel 106 to 108, Belgium.
