Born Hurst, Lancashire, son of Robert and Fanny Bardsley. Native of Ashton-under-Lyne.

5th March 1882, Methodist New Connexion, Stamford Street, Ashton-under-Lyne, baptism of Percy Bardsley, parents Robert & Fanny Bardsley, 26 King Street, Hurst, Ashton-under-Lyne. Child 6 weeks old when baptised.


1911 Census - 59 Toxteth Street,  H Openshaw - Fanny Bardsley, head, age 60, widow, 2 children, both still alive, born Hurst, Lancashire; Percy Bardsley, son, age 29, single, stereotyper newspaper, born Hurst, Lancashire.


Enlisted Gravesend, Kent, age 34, height 5ft 6 inches, weight 168lbs, widower. Formerly sterotyper. Resided 53 Beresford, Rosherville, Kent.

Next of Kin - Driver Harry Bardsley, brother, 288 Burton Road, Derby / 26 Buxton Street, The Meadows, Nottingham.
