Enlisted London, age 18 years & 1 month, height 5ft 5¾ inches, weight 115lbs, flattish feet. Resided 27 Borough Street, Brighton, Sussex. Formerly seaman.
Home 18th February 1917 to 28th January 1918; BEF 29th January 1918 to 21st September 1918.
18th February 1917, called up & deemed to have enlisted; 20th February 1917, posted 97th Training Reserve Battalion; 21st June 1917, transferred and posted to 209th Infantry Battalion; 12th November 1917, Sheringham, irregular conduct on Parade, laughing, 2 days confined to Barracks; 11th December 1917, posted 51st (Grad) Battalion, Training Reserve, Middlesex Regiment, Service No. 34830; 17th January 1918, overstaying his pass from 22.30 until 18.35 on 18th January 1918, deprived of 4 days pay, forfeits 2 days pay; 29th January 1918, posted BEF; 29th January 1918, embarked / disembarked; 31st January 1918, transferred to 6th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 5th February 1918, joined Battalion in the Field; 21st September 1918, reported wounded & missing.
