12th August 1873, born Cheetham, Manchester, Lancashire, son of John / Harry and Jane Ann Singleton.

1st September 1878, St Luke, Cheetham, Manchester, Lancashire, baptism of John Singleton, son of John, (paper maker), & Jane Ann Singleton, Oak? Place Smedley, Cheetham.

1903 June, St Pauls, Stalybridge, Cheshire,  John Singleton married Elizabeth Heaton.

Children - May Singleton, born 1 May 1912.

Enlisted Manchester, Lancashire. Resided 4, Moulders Yard, Vaudrey Street, Stalybridge, Manchester.

27th October 1914, posted BEF.

1918 March, Ashton Registration District, Elizabeth Singleton, married Daniel Quest.

Commemorated at Caterpillar Valley Cemetery, IX. K. 2., Longueval, France.
