Born Hadstock, Cambridgeshire, son of Albert & Mary Ann (Pauline) Baldock (formerly Hills) of 6, Colney Heath, St. Albans, Hertfordshire.
1885 December, Hertford Registration District, Mary Ann Hills, married George Baldock.
Enlisted Woolwich, SE, age 25 years & 150 days, height 5ft 6 inches, 116lbs, blue eyes, light brown hair. Resided St Albans, Hertfordshire. Formerly Hertfordshire County asylum attendant from 6th February 1913 to 22nd August 1913.

16th February 1914, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 14th April 1914, Maidstone, overstaying his pass from 11.00am until 3.10pm on 15th April, 7 days confined to Barracks; 2nd June 1914, Maidstone, overstaying his pass from 11.45am to 10.50pm, 7 days confined to Barracks; 19th June 1914, Maidstone, absent from Tattoo until 11.15pm; 18th July 1914, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 6th August 1914, mobilized; 30th September 1914, appointed unpaid Lance Corporal; 21st October 1914, posted BEF; 26th October 1914, reverted to Private; 21st February 1915, wounded; 25th February 1915, 4 General Hospital, gun shot wound, left foot; no date for rejoining Unit; 18th March 1915, killed in action.
