Previously served with 3rd West Kent Militia, 6 years, time expired.

Husband of Frances Sarah Hunter, (nee Baron, spinster), 32a Lydden Grove, Wandsworth. Married 23rd December 1893, Wandsworth.

10th September 1914, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 14th September 1914, posted 8th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 13th February 1915, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 25th May 1915, posted 1st Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 22nd July 1916, wounded, gun shot wound, left knee; 31st July 1916, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 10th September 1917, 2nd Western General Hospital, Whitworth Street, Manchester.

1st October 1917, discharged  as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to wounds. Silver War Badge issued 

Pension, 13/9 a week to be reviewed in 52 weeks. Disability, gun shot wound, right knee, fractured femur.
