Home 12th September 1914 to 11th January 1916; India 12th January 1916 to 23rd December 1916.

12th September 1914, enlisted & posted 6th Battalion, Essex Regiment, Service No.22297; 30th October 1915, transferred to 24th Rifle Brigade, Home Counties, Service No.827; 15th November 1916, transferred to Royal West Kent Regiment.

16th July 1917, pension of 22/11 a week awarded to widow and two children.
