Private James BURTON, G/28509, 1st Battalion, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, (formerly M/31781 ASC MT)), died of wounds / killed in action, France and Flanders, 27th September 1918, age 20.
Born Annan, Dumfrieshire, son of Joseph and Mary J. Burton, of 1, Hope Place, Ferregles St., Maxwelltown, Dumfries. Native of Newbie, Annan.
Enlisted Grove Park, SE.
Buried at Gouzeaucourt New British Cemetery, V.D.II., Nord, France.
