Born 15th March 1878, Harpole, Northampton, son of William and Harriett Baker, of Harpole, Northampton. Educated Harpole, Northampton.

5th September 1912, Harpole Church, married Mary Ellen Bollon, Harpole, Northampton / 64, Moat Road, Harryville, Ballymena, Co. Antrim.

Enlisted Northampton, age 37, height 5ft ??, formerly gardener. Resided Harpole, Northampton.

Home 3rd December 1915 to 3rd October 1916; BEF 4th October 1916 to 18th November 1916.

Enlisted 3rd December 1915 into Royal Fusiliers; 3rd December 1915, to Army Reserve; 15th June 1916, mobilized; 16th June 1916 posted Royal Fusliers; 1st September 1916, transferred to Training Reserve & posted 22nd Battalion; 4th October 1916, posted BEF & transferred to 26th Battalion, Royal Fusiliers; 14th October 1916, transferred to 7th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment.

18th June 1917, pension of 15/- a week awarded to widow.

11th June 1920, Statement of Relatives - Widow, Mary E Baker, 64, Moat Road, Harryville, Ballymena, Co. Antrim.

Commemorated at Thiepval  Memorial, Pier & Face 11C, Somme, France.
