Enlisted  Deptford, SE, age 20 years & 321 days, height 5ft 6½ inches, weight 130lbs, scar right cheek. Formerly labourer.

Home 19th November 1916 to 7th December 1916; BEF 8th December 1916 to 3rd October 1917.

19th November 1915, enlisted; 24th November 1915, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 11th October 1916, Qualified as 1st Class Signaller;

8th December 1916, posted BEF & 1st Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 31st December 1916, joined Battalion "C" Company, In the Field. 19th November 1916, Chatham, overstaying his pass from 9.30pm until 9.30pm 20th November 1916, whilst employed on Signal Station, admonished forfeits 2 days pay; 3rd October 1917, wounded in action.

Buried at Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, XX. D. 19A., Belgium.
