5th September 1914, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 12th September 1914, posted 8th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 4th April 1915, Redhill, absent from Tattoo till Tattoo 5th, deprived of 10 days pay, forfeits 2 days pay; 30th August 1915, embarked; 26th September 1915, 19 Field Ambulance, wounded, gun shot wound left arm; 28th September 1915, No1. Casualty Clearing Station, gun shot wound arm; 4th October 1915, 24th Divisional Infantry Base Depot; 2nd December 1915, back to duty; 22nd June 1916, 2 Casualty Clearing Station, died of wounds.
