Born Boughton Monchelsea, Kent.

25th June 1882, Boughton Moncheslsea, baptism of Horace Hook, son of David Alfred & Julia Hook.

Enlisted 7th November 1900,  Maidstone, Kent. Formerly labourer.

1908, December, Elham Registration District, Horace Hook married Harriett Sutton.


1911 Census - 1 Dorking Place, Holborough, Snodland, Kent - Horace Hook, head, age 28, married, labourer, cement works, worker, born Boughton Monchelsea, Kent; Harriett Lilly Hook, wife, age 27, married 3 years, 1 child, born Canterbury, Kent; Dorothy Ellen Hook, daughter, age 1, born Postling, near Hythe, Kent.


15th August 1914, posted BEF.

Widow - Harriet Lily Hook. 1919 June, Maidstone Registration District, married Harry G Unwin.

Commemorated at  La Ferte-Sous-Jouarre Memorial , Seine-et-Marne, France
