Born Portsmouth, Hampshire, son of Harry Hawkins, 92 Upper Stone Street, Maidstone, Kent.

Enlisted  Maidstone, Kent, age 24 years & 69 days, height 5ft 5 inches, weight 133lbs.  Resided 92 Upper Stone Street, Maidstone, Kent.  Formerly carman.

Home, 6th December 1915 to 2nd May 1916; BEF, 3rd May 1916 to 8th October 1916.

6th December 1915, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 6th December 1915, posted 10th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 3rd May 1916, posted BEF; 3rd May 1916, Southampton, embarked; 4th May 1916, Havre, disembarked.

23rd August 1919, Statement of Relatives, completed by *Mrs Beaney Matthews - Father, Harry Hawkins, dont no where he is; Mother, dont no; Brothers, full blood, brothers half blood, Sisters full blood, sisters half blood, dont no.

*Dependant of Soldier but not married to Soldier  - Miss Beany Welch, 92 Upper Stone Street, Maidstone, Kent now Mrs Beany Matthews, 119, Upper Stone Street, Maidstone, Kent.

Buried at Warlencourt British  Cemetery, IV. K. 7., France.
