2nd January 1917, enlisted Scarborough, Yorkshire. Formerly boot repairer.
Served with the Expeditionary Force France & Flanders from July 1917.
31st July 1917, reported missing after the fighting on the Menin Road, Flanders France,
Commemorated at Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Panel 45 and 47., Belgium.
