Private Henry Harry IRONS, G/9809, 11th  Battalion, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, (attached Army Service Corps, Advanced Horse Transport Depot), died of wounds received in action, 24 General Hospital, Etaples, Flanders France, 4th June 1918, age 28.

Born Bromley-by-Bow, Essex, son of Henry and Jane Irons, of 18, Railway Terrace, Ladywell, London. 

Enlisted Lewisham, SE, age 25 years & 126 days, height 5ft 5 inches.  Resided 18 Railway Terrace, Ladywell, SE. Formerly carman.

Home, 26th August 1915 to 2nd May 1916; BEF, 3rd May 1916 to 4th June 1918.

Separation Allowance of 10/- a week payable to mother.

26th August 1915, enlisted & posted 11th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 3rd May 1916, posted BEF; 18th October 1917, ten days leave to UK. 13th November 1917, with Battalion to Italy; 14th April 1918, attached Army Service Corps, Advanced Horse Transport Depot; 11th May 1918, Etaples, "J" Infantry Base Depot; 4th June 1918, bomb wound shoulder & arm.
