Born 1893, Southend on Sea, Essex, , enlisted 22nd October 1913, Gravesend, Kent, age 20, height 5ft 3 inches, weight 110lbs. Flat footed, can stand on each seperately. Formerly greengrocers assistant.

22nd October 1913, enlisted; 4th to 15th November 1913, Maidstone, Kent, influenza; 24th July 1916 to 4th August 1916, 1st General Hospital, Birmingham, gun shot wound right thigh, transferred to Eastbourne, Sussex.

claims gas poisoning - no objective signs

deafness, hears well for practical purposes.

8th April 1919, discharged  as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to wounds. Silver War Badge issued

Pension, 11/- a week for 26 weeks. Claims gas poisoning, no objective signs of deafness, hears well for practical purposes.
