14th June 1915, enlisted into 19th Service Battalion, Royal Fusiliers, Service No. P8/7900; 14th November 1915, posted BEF; ; 29th May 1916, 33 Infantry Base Depot, Etaples; 18th June 1916, joined Battalion, "D" Company; 1st July 1916, transferred to 7th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 30th September 1916, wounded at Duty.
