Born Islington, Middlesex, son of Alfred George and Hannah Buckle, of 58, Maury Road, Stoke Newington, London.

Enlisted Tunbridge Wells, Kent.  Resided Finsbury Park, N. 

Buried at Bernafay Wood British Cemetery, G.58., Montauban,  Somme, France.
