Private George TURVILL, G/20625, 8th Battalion,  Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, died of dipthera, as a Prisoner of War, Camp Hospital, Shendal, Germany, 3rd July 1918, at 3.30pm,  age 19 years & 7 months.

Born Crondall, Hampshire, son of Mr. James Thomas Turvill, of 28, Regina Terrace, Seaford Road, West Ealing, London.

Foster Mother - Charlotte Turvill.

6th July 1915, discharged 3rd Battalion, Queens West Surrey Regiment, under age.

Enlisted Hounslow, Middlesex, age 18 years & 3 months, height 5ft 9 inches.  Resided 28, Regina Terrace, Seaford Road, West Ealing, London. W13. Formerly laboratory attendant.

11th January 1916 to 28th January 1918; BEF 29th January 1918 to 3rd July 1918.

11th January 1916, deemed to have enlisted; 13th November 1916, called up for Service; 13th November 1916, to Army Reserves; 24th April 1917, mobilized & posted 30th Training Reserves; 7th January 1918, returned from Trade Test Woolwich, not suitable for posting to a Technical Corps, (filament maker); 29th January 1918, embarked; 29th January 1918, Etaples, posted 13th Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment, Service No.24446; 31st January 1918, transferred to Royal West Kent Regiment, posted 8th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 27th February 1918, joined 8th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment, In the Field; 21st March 1918, posted missing.
