Enlisted Brixworth, Northamptonshire, age 37 years & 119 days, height 5ft 7½ inches, 10st 9lbs, subject to dental treatment. Resided  Spratton, Northamptonshire. Formerly bricklayers labourer.

10th December 1915, enlisted; 10th December 1915, to Army Reserve; 17th June 1916, mobilized; 19th June 1916, posted 12th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 4th September 1916, Aldershot, overstaying his pass from 12.1 am until 7.35pm 5th September 1916, 5 days confined to Barracks, forfeits 2 days pay; 18th October 1916, embarked / disembarked; 18th October 1916, Infantry Base Depot; 5th November 1916, joined Battalion, "A" Company, In the Field.

25th November 1917, date when Separation Allowance of 21/- a week and Allotment of Pay of 3/6 a week payable to wife, will cease.

26th November 1917, pension awarded of 22/11 a week for widow and two children.
