Sussex.


Enlisted Maidstone, Kent, age 19, height 5ft 6¾ inches, weight 135lbs. Resided Spinney Arch, Collier Street, Marden, Kent. Formerly carter (horseman).

Next of kin - Father, Robert Berry, Bridge House, Marden, Kent later changed to Sister, Emily Kate Berry, Bridge House, Marden, Kent.

18th January 1916, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 27th January 1916, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 15th March 1916, Chatham, having dirty equipment & a rusty bayonet on the 7.00am Parade, 3 days confined to Barracks; 19th May 1916, posted BEF & 8th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment.

Buried at  Boulogne Eastern  Cemetery, VIII.C.92., Pas de Calais, France.
