Husband of Mrs Eva A R Broomfield (nee Allen) , 46 Earl Street, Gillingham, Kent. Married 19th March 1913, New Brompton, Kent. Children - George Henry Broomfield, born 22nd November 1914, Gillingham, Kent; Thomas William Harry Broomfield, born 27th June 1916, Gillingham, Kent.

Postings - Home, 8th December 1915 to 31st December 1916; BEF France, 1st January 1917 to 22nd April 1917; Home, 23rd April 1917 to 10th August 1917; Mesopotamia Expeditionary Force, 11th August 1917 to (En route to UK 26th January to 27th February 1920), 27th February 1920; Home 28th February to 27th March 1920.

Wounded 9th April 1917, gun shot wound right knee, returned to England. 2nd Western General Hospital Manchester, 23rd April 1917 to 7th June 1917, shrapnel wound right knee; wounded in action, 28th October 1918,  awarded Military Medal for gallantry and distinguished service in the Field.

Demobilized 27th March 1920 to 2 Stanley Road, Gillingham, Kent.
