1901 Census - 23 Furley Street, Camberwell, Street - Clorinda Hepburn, head, widow, age 47, silk hat dresser, worker, born Southwark, Surrey; Harry Hepburn, son, age 26, born Lambeth, Surrey; Francis Hepburn, son, age 15, laundry van guard, worker, born Camberwell, Surrey; Arthur Hepburn, son, age 10, born Camberwell, Surrey.
1905, June, Camberwell Registration District, Frank William Hepburn, married Alice Edith Field, of 5, Darwin St., Old Kent Road, London.
Possible Children - George Edward Hepburn, born 1907; David Cyril Hepburn, born 1909; Arthur Leonard Hepburn, born 5th April 1912, Camberwell.
9th June 1915, enlisted.
17th September 1917, discharged due to wounds, served overseas, age 32. Silver War Badge issued.
Buried at Camberwell Old Cemetery, 85. 25416. Commemorated at Screen Wall., United Kingdom.
NOTE: Not included in Regimental History or Soldiers Died in the Great War, but included on CWGC web site.
CWGC Notes - This cemetery contains 291 First World War burials. The war graves plot is in the north-east corner of the cemetery and contains two screen walls. One commemorates almost 160 casualties buried in the plot, the other bears the names of those buried in the remaining war graves scattered throughout the cemetery that could not be individually marked. The war graves plot also contains a group of special memorials to the 14 casualties of the Second World War buried in the cemetery.
