Home, 11th December 1915 to 7th June 1916; 8th June 1916, India to 3rd September 1916; Home, 4th September 1916 to 20th November 1916.

11th December 1915, enlisted & posted Army Reserve; 24th March 1916, mobilized from Army Reserve; 7th April 1916, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 11th April 1916, posted 4/4th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 8th June 1916, posted 1/4th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment, India; 4th September 1916, posted 21 TFO, 4th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment.

20th November 1916, discharged as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to sickness. Silver War Badge issued.
