I am directed to inform you such medals are the legal property of Mrs Emma J Jackson, 79 Brightfield Road, Lee Green, London SE.
May 1921, War Office letter to Mr Harold L S Parrette, 16 Ozark Crescent, Toronto, Canada - I am directed to inform you that any medals awarded in respect of the service of the late No.9091, Private F Parrott, 1st Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment, ?????? under the laws of intestacy, the property of his elder brother and as he has since died they passed under the terms of his will to a Mrs Jackson to whom the "1914 Star" has already been issued. I am to state that the British War and Victory Medals now in your possession were inadvertently issued to you by the Office in Charge of Infantry Record Office Hounslow, and can be claimed by Mrs Jackson should she so desire.

SOLDIERS' BALANCES UNDISPOSED OF.
In pursuance of "The Regimental Debts Act, 1893," notice is hereby given that there is available for distribution amongst the Next of Kin or others entitled the sum of money set opposite to the name of each of the deceased Soldiers named in the lists which are published with this notice in the London Gazette and the "Army List," and are also to be seen at the Regimental Depots throughout the United Kingdom.
Applications from persons supposing themselves entitled as Next of Kin should be addressed by letter to "The Secretary, War Office, Imperial Institute, South Kensington, London, S. W. 7," and marked outside "Effects."
