Born Borstal, Kent, son of Isabella and Mark Parris, of 24, Sidney Road, Borstal, Rochester, Kent.

Enlisted Chatham, Kent, age 17 years & 11 months, height 5ft 2 inches, weight 112lbs, blue eyes, fair hair, tattoos on left forearm. Resided 24, Sidney Road, Borstal, Rochester, Kent. Formerly labourer.

Home 3rd March 1908 to 10th April 1912.

3rd March 1908, enlisted; 5th March 1908, Canterbury, joined Battalion; 5th March 1908 to 4th September 1908, Special Course of Training; 1909/1910/1911 Present at Annual Training; 10th April 1912, discharged having joined Royal Army Medical Corps.

Enlisted Chatham, Kent, age 22, height 5ft 4 inches, weight 130lbs, fresh complexion, blue eyes, fair hair, tattoo marks, man's head, woman's head, butterfly, left forearm, woman's head, Rose & flower, woman & snake, right forearm, ship & homeward bound on right bicep. Resided 24, Sidney Road, Borstal, Rochester, Kent. Formerly labourer.

11th April 1912, enlisted;  13th April 1912, joined Corps at Aldershot; 31st May 1912, 3rd Class Certificate of Education; 27th September 1912, Aldershot, Training School, Royal Army Medical Corps; 10th June 1913, awarded 10 days Detention by Commanding Officer; 20th June 1913, returned to Duty; 29th July 1913, discharged due to misconduct. All Service forfeited.

Home 11th April 1912 to 29th July 1913.


#Driver Alfred PARRIS, 98450, Royal Field Artillery, 55th Division Ammunition Column, killed in action, 28th August 1917, age 26.
