Born Arundel, Sussex, son of John Richard & Emily Hammond.

1916, June Quarter, Cambridge Registration District, married Alice Alexandra Mole, of 22, Eden St., Cambridge, Cambridgeshire.

Enlisted Grove Park, Kent.

Commemorated at Pozieres Memorial, Panel 58 and 59., France & Arundel War Memorial.
