Private Frederick FOSTER, G/11475,  10th  Battalion, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, killed in action, Flanders France, 16th September 1916, age 27.

Born Chart, Sutton, Kent, son of Frederick and Jemima Foster, of 12 Forge Road, Southborough, Kent.

Enlisted Maidstone, Kent, age 26 years, 250 days, height 5ft 5¾ inches, weight 161lbs.  Resided All Saints Cottage, Hollingbourne, Kent. Formerly farm labourer.

2nd December 1915, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 2nd December 1915, posted 10th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 3rd May 1916, Southampton, embarked; 4th May 1916, Havre, disembarked; 16th SEptember 1916, wounded in action.

8th September 1919, Statement of Relatives, completed by Stepmother, Mary E Foster, Pembury Union, Sandhill House, Pembury, Kent - Father, Frederick Foster, Barming Asylum; Mother, deceased; Half Brothers - Stanley Foster, age 7, Tonbridge Union; Jack Foster, age 5, Tonbridge Union; Half Sister - Winifred Foster, age 3, Tonbridge Union.

Buried at Caterpillar Valley Cemetery,  XIII. F. 8, Longueval, France.
