Born Burnham, Kent, son of Adelaide Bennett, of Baker Street,  Burham, Rochester, Kent.

1911 Census - Baker Street,  Burham, Rochester, Kent. - Adelaide Bennett, head, age 48, married 27 years, 7 children, 5 still alive, housekeeper, at home, born Chelsea, London; Frederick Bennett, son, age 22, single, shunter at cement works, born Burnham, Kent; Alice Bennett, daughter, age 14, scholar, born Burnham, Kent.

Enlisted Maidstone, Kent, age 23, height 5ft 9 inches, weight 121lbs. Formerly engine driver.

25th January 1915, enlisted; 4th February 1915, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 6th February 1915, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 22nd June 1915, posted BEF & 6th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 21st July 1915, joined Battalion;

30th July 1919, Statement of Relatives - Mother, Adelaide Bennett, Baker Street,  Burham, Rochester, Kent; Brother. George Bennett, age 33; Sisters - Edith, age 32, Toronto, Canada; Clara, age 27, ??; Alice, age 22, W.A.A.Cs Yorkshire Regiment. 

Commemorated at  Loos Memorial, Panel 95 to 97, Pas de Calais, France  and Burham War Memorial, Church Road/Rochester Road, Burham, Kent.

In pursuance of " The. Regimental Debts Act, 1893," notice is hereby given that there is available for distribution amongst the Next of Kin or others entitled the sum of money set opposite to the name of each of the deceased Soldiers named in the lists which are published with this notice in the London Gazette and the " Army List," and are also to be seen at the Regimental Depots throughout the United Kingdom.

Applications from persons supposing themselves entitled as Next of Kin should be addressed by letter to "The Secretary, War Office, Park Buildings, St. James's Park; London, S.W.," and marked outside " Effects."
